When driving a car on a track, the forces overcome in corners cause the rubber in the wishbones (control arms) to flex, thus changing the desired geometry of the car. This can lead to slower track times and inefficient tire wear.
For this reason, we developed uniball control arms. Our racing control arms utilize a metal-on-metal uniball design, similar to the Porsche RS line (GT2RS, GT3RS). Extensively tested on our Audi TTRS track car .
Most track cars are lowered compared to stock. Lowering a car has the undesirable effect of moving the chassis lower than the ball joint, and too much lowering causes the wishbone to point upwards at the wheel end. This means you need more steering control when cornering, the car is slow to respond and isn't as communicative.
This is where our swingarm version aims to rectify this option offering modified kinematics This version can only be used with our front subframe tube .
We use the same T45 tubes as in WRC cars, our control arms provide increased stiffness and additional adjustability. All factory parts are bolted to this unit, no other modifications are necessary.
Product functionalities:
- Both wheel and tilt adjustment (up to -4.5 degrees)
- no rubber that bends, you won't lose the set geometry while feeding
- improved bump control
- ONLY works with our tubular subframe (WAS-560 or WAS-550)For standard subframe use this product .
- enables disassembly of the wishbones without the need to disassemble the subframe
Characteristics:
- CNC machined 7075 aluminum insert, silver anodized
- T45 tubes (BS4T45 to BS4T100) imported from Great Britain and S355 sheets
- proven M18 uniballs for motorsports (the same type we use in our Lancer EVO X kits)
- Plug and Play for use with automotive xenon sensors
What's included:
- two (pair) front tubular wishbones (wishbones) with all mounting hardware
- two (pair) 7075 CNC billet aluminum control arm mounts
- a set of spacers to change the position of the steering rod and the front anit-roll rod. Both by 20 mm up. See photo below.
- four rubber plugs to protect the uniball
- printed installation instructions

T45 is a very unique seamless carbon based steel tube used in many applications across various industries. It is stronger than the Co-Mo 4130 inner tube also used in motorsport. It is widely used in the aerospace sector in equipment such as pilot and crew seats due to the materials ability to withstand high G-forces without cracking or breaking. This material is carbon manganese based and complies with full aerospace specifications set by British Standards.
Properties
Tensile strength: 700 – 900 MPa,
Efficiency 0.2% Minimum 620 MPa
Hardness test: 201 min – 262 max HB or 210 min – 275 max HV.
Note: It is necessary to remove the rubber O-ring (1K0423187) to install the steering linkage in its new, higher position. Note: Sold for off-road, track, and racing applications only. Installing this rear control arm kit may result in additional NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) being transmitted into the cabin.
Note 2: When using tie rod riser bushings, it may not be possible to use a downpipe larger than 3 inches in diameter. It all depends on the car and the downpipe design. We have tested many 3 inch downpipe designs and they work.
One of the first things to do to improve a production car's cornering performance is to lower its center of gravity by reducing ground clearance. Unfortunately, this also negatively alters the original suspension geometry and kinematics. To counteract this, our control arm and subframe combination provides modified suspension mounting points that correct the steering and roll center, providing improved handling and responsiveness.

In addition to correcting the roll center height, it also helps with camber enhancement (changing the camber angle within the suspension travel range). In track racing, the priority is to optimize camber, reducing positive camber in corners for better traction, and this is exactly what our additional mount provides.

To solve this problem, we propose a subframe kit with wishbones.

The front wishbone mount is lowered onto the subframe mount. The lower mounting hole is standard height, the higher mounting hole should be used with our lowered wishbones (20mm).

Note: Brake disc clearance is reduced by approximately 2 [mm] compared to the OEM control arms - keep this in mind if you intend to use aftermarket brakes with reduced clearance.
