Audi Sport Quattro S1 control arm replicas for the front and rear axles. With meticulous attention to detail, this is the finest control arm replica available .
For quattro cars, which require unchanged geometry on all roads, the stamping and steel construction of the standard control arms tends to cause flexing when used in harsh conditions. The control arms allow for extensive camber adjustment for track use, providing up to 25 mm more camber adjustment.
Additionally, the Audi Sport replica wishbones move the wheel forward, providing greater steering angle and improved handling. The aluminum pin is a perfect replica, incorporating all the original components. They are suitable for rally stages and track use when standard wishbones are not suitable.
They provide the increased strength required to withstand significantly higher stresses, while significant geometry changes are also necessary for effective use in your quattro. Tested on our racing and rally cars.
What's included:
- two wishbones for the front axle (please specify B2 type or split B3/B4 type pillars - see photo)
- two aluminum ball joint brackets milled on a CNC machine and anodized black
- two lubricated Fluro sports bearings (22 mm bore)
- two steel pins for connection to OEM shock absorbers (front - please specify pin 17mm, 18mm or 19mm)
- four galvanized steel locking plates for attaching aluminum ball joint brackets
- all necessary screws for mounting the ball joint brackets and steel pins
Features:
- Can be used in conjunction with the standard front subframe
- Designed to work with OEM posts
- Allows for massive camber adjustment (up to 25mm more than OEM) and wider track width - Gives extra caster. OEM Audi B2 caster is 1.25, and with our control arm 2.65
- Works well with Audi Sport blade stabilizers
- Compatible with Audi Sport pillars (22 mm bolt)
- Prepared to work with additional trailing arm (front)
- Can be used with the steering lock on Audi Sport pillars
- The area where the aluminum ball joint bracket meets the inside of the control arm is knurled for better bracket grip
- For use with 37mm diameter bushes for mounting the control arm to the subframe
Installation:
- Audi RS2
- Audi B2 Coupe, Sedan
- Audi B3/B4, Coupe, Sedan, Avant
A bending and milling machine is used for pipe processing. Pipes are milled, sheet metal is pressed, pipe ends are pressed and flattened to accommodate sleeves, plugs and bends are laser-cut, sleeves are turned and ground, and the rocker arm is welded using a welding tool. Dimensional tolerances: 0.03 mm, concentricity tolerance 0.01 mm, and tolerances are checked on a separate measuring device.
The knurling is performed on a press by inserting a mass of material – 80 metric tons. MIG welding is used to join all the tubes, replicating the Audi Sport production process. The control arm is made of reinforced steel and powder-coated black.
Note: Front control arms significantly increase steering angle. Important Note -> The ball joint housing used in this kit has reduced brake disc clearance compared to OEM discs. It is not possible to use this housing with brake discs that have a reduced ET compared to OEM disc brakes, e.g., Porsche 996 calipers with 330 discs.
