Anti-squat suspensions are designed to reduce body squat by altering the rear suspension so that forces resulting from acceleration pass through the suspension arms and rods rather than through the coils or struts.
In the MQB rear suspension, our anti-squat can be defined by the slope of the line connecting the wheel center to the trailing arm's mounting point to the chassis. Most cars are lowered using aftermarket suspension components. In the photo below, the car is lowered, and the OEM control arm (and our 0 configuration) on the MQB car has the anti-squat line pointing downward (red line). This indicates that the car has a negative anti-squat value. This causes excessive suspension travel during acceleration and reduces responsiveness.

To address this, we developed an adjustable rear trailing arm. When the car's trailing arm is used in the 20-degree configuration, the anti-squat value (green line) is adjusted and returns to the factory setting.

If the car's control arm is used in a 40-degree configuration, the anti-squat value (blue line) increases. This allows the suspension to vibrate even less, resulting in a quicker response from a standstill or when exiting a curve. With less suspension movement, camber and toe are also less susceptible to changes (improved vehicle predictability).
As you increase anti-squat, you also get higher rear anti-lift values. This keeps the rear suspension low under braking, improving traction and the car's predictability. This allows you to brake later and enter corners with greater speed and confidence.
