Following an extensive development and testing program, we present the AMG GT front subframe – now available to everyone. Our subframes provide increased stiffness, reduced weight, and more precise handling.
The entire car was 3D laser scanned, the subframe was developed in CAD, the CAD model was FEA-tested, and road-tested. It's made from T45 tubing (the same as used in WRC cars).
Benefits:
- 10 kg (almost 40%) lighter than the OEM front subframe. This modification changes the weight distribution between the front and rear axles from 46% to 55%.
The subframe is bolted directly to the chassis as before, but we've changed the hole diameter at the subframe mounting points to a smaller size. This prevents the subframe from shifting under the car under high loads.
- We have retained the original mounting points for the wishbones, steering rack, stabilizer bar, engine mount, brake lines and headlight range sensor - Plug & Play!
Characteristics:
- Increased chassis rigidity thanks to a tubular frame structure that improves handling. The subframe is made of T45 tubing (BS4T45 to BS4T100) imported directly from the steel mill and S355 sheet metal.
- A similar tubular subframe design is also used in the Mercedes AMG GT3 & GT4 cars.
- Much more space for access to the car's underbody.
- Attaches to OEM bodywork and no other modifications are needed to fit the subframe - Can be used with OEM control arms
- Increased tilt adjustment range. Up to -3.5 degrees of tilt. (Over -3.2 degrees introduces a large steering angle).

What's included:
- Front subframe powder coated black
- Camber adjustment shims. A total of 88 shims ranging in size from 0 mm to +/- 10 mm for smooth adjustment.
- Mating surfaces protected with aluminum anti-seize grease. This includes the control arm mounting points, the electrical ground connection, and the subframe mounting points to the chassis.

T45 is a unique seamless carbon-based steel tube used in a variety of applications across industries. It is stronger than 4130 Cro-Mo tube, which is also used in motorsports. It is widely used in the aerospace sector for equipment such as pilot and crew seats due to the materials' ability to withstand high G-forces without cracking or fracturing. This material is carbon-manganese-based and complies with full British Standards aerospace specifications.
T45 properties:
Tensile strength: 700 – 900 MPa,
0.2% yield: minimum 620 MPa
Hardness test: 201 min – 262 max HB or 210 min – 275 max HV.
Note: Sold for off-road, track, and racing applications only. Fitting a subframe may increase the vehicle's noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. We strongly recommend having the subframe installed by a qualified and experienced workshop.
