Audi B5 A4 S4 RS4 / B4 Avant Sedan S2 RS2 / rear lightweight tubular subframe

After long CAD development based on a 3D scan of the OEM subframe, tested with CAD FEA (Finite Element Method) and road testing, you can now buy a brand new, rust-free subframe for the rear of your Audi B5 inc. A4 S4 RS4 and B4 80 / 90 Sedan/Avant inc. S2 and RS2.

Utilizing the same T45 tubing found in WRC cars, our subframes provide increased stiffness and reduced weight. Our subframe also features a reinforced rear stabilizer mount . All factory parts are bolted to this unit, so no modifications are necessary.

Characteristics:
- 10.5 kg, that's a 6 kg (13.2 lb) savings compared to the OEM subframe
- T45 tubes (BS4T45 to BS4T100) imported from Great Britain and S355 sheets
- all elements welded using the TIG method
- delivered painted (powder coated) in black or on special order (50 euros) in any RAL color
- solid body mounts for increased stiffness and additional weight reduction
- Reinforced rear stabilizer mount. No further reinforcement is necessary (weight savings)
- can be used with OEM control arms
- Attaches to OEM bodywork and no other modifications are needed to fit the subframe
- includes an additional 25mm higher hole for drag racing -> anti-squat system

In cars with the older type of rear subframe used in B4 cars, to use our subframe you need to use the newer, longer type (320mm, the old type is 300mm) of steering rods (8D0 501 530) in your car.

T45 is a unique seamless carbon-based steel tube used in a variety of applications across industries. It is stronger than the Co-Mo 4130 inner tube also used in motorsports. It is widely used in the aerospace sector in equipment such as pilot and crew seats due to the materials' ability to withstand high G-forces without cracking or fracturing. This material is carbon-manganese-based and complies with full British Standards aerospace specifications.
