After extensive CAD development based on a 3D scan of the OEM subframe, CAD FEA (Finite Element Analysis) testing, and road testing, you can now purchase a branded subframe for the rear of your Audi/VW/SEAT/Skoda cars based on the MQB platform with Haldex. See the list of cars below.
Using the same T45 tubing found in WRC cars, our subframes provide increased stiffness and reduced weight. All factory parts are bolted to this unit, so no other modifications are necessary.
This version is designed for cars looking for the lightest possible rear subframe solution – drag cars. For cars used on the racetrack (road course), we have this version – the WAS-564 .
Benefits:
- 12 kg. This equates to a saving of 6 kg compared to the OEM MQB steel subframe or a saving of 6.5 kg compared to the OEM PQ35 steel subframe (TT 8J, A3 8P).
- Adjustable tilt, convergence and impact.
- Additional brake system mount for upper control arm - provides improved camber gain and roll center position (requires adjustable rocker arm to maintain camber adjustment).
- Single subframe mounting position eliminates subframe movement under the vehicle. No subframe required.

T45 is a unique seamless carbon-based steel tube used in a variety of applications across industries. It is stronger than the Co-Mo 4130 inner tube also used in motorsports. It is widely used in the aerospace sector in equipment such as pilot and crew seats due to the materials' ability to withstand high G-forces without cracking or fracturing. This material is carbon-manganese-based and complies with full British Standards aerospace specifications.

Efficiency 0.2% Minimum 620 MPa
Hardness test: 201 min – 262 max HB or 210 min – 275 max HV.

Note: Sold exclusively for off-road, track, and racing applications. Fitting a subframe may increase the vehicle's noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. Our tests on a stock VW Golf 7R showed a very minimal increase in NVH only at idle. We strongly recommend having the subframe installed by a qualified and experienced workshop.
